I learned the art of glass over 30 years ago, when a group of ladies from our church decided to "paint" imitation stained glass windows. It wasn't long before we realized we had wasted many long hours of work as we watched all the paint flake off. Being the determined person I am, I took classes so I could make some "real" stained glass windows. It was much harder then I thought and half way through the class I almost quit . At long last my first piece was finished. I vividly remember my excitement the first time I saw the sun pouring through my piece, the colors and textures came alive! I was hooked! Now my daughter and I spend our Michigan summers attending art shows and sharing our love of glass with others, in hopes that they will find that one special piece to call their own.
